Created as a Digigraph print from one of my original 35mm slide photographs, this Gloucester harbor art print preserves the character of the original Fisherman’s Wharf, as it appeared circa 1980s. The historic wharf was later destroyed by fire in 1998.

About the Digigraph Technique
James Morton's Digigraph Prints are a unique fusion of multiple digital media, developed over the past 20 years without the use of generic "apps." Each Digigraph begins with a specially prepared collage of Morton's original photographs. Once the composition is perfected, the image undergoes a digital transformation to adjust color, contours, shadows, and texture, creating depth and visual luminosity. Transparent colors and layers are added to enhance the composition, culminating in hand-directed digital painting.
Unlike traditional prints that are mere reproductions, Morton's Digigraphs are high-resolution Giclée prints, each considered an "original print" in the realm of fine art printmaking.
